The Royal Australian Mint and Australia Post have created a coin program of 10 collectable $1 coin designs featuring Bluey and her family and friends. Bluey is an inexhaustible blue heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad and her little sister Bingo. She likes to laugh and have fun but more than anything else she loves to play games with her family.
Visit a participating Australia Post Office to collect the non-coloured $1 Bluey and $1 Bingo till coins by making a cash purchase at the counter for the chance to score the coins in your change. Australia Post is the exclusive distributor of the till coins.
The coins can also be purchased either individually or in a Bluey 10-coin Tube and Collectable Folder Set. There is a 1-in-10 chance of finding the special coloured $1 Bluey coin within this set.
From September 2, visit a participating Australia Post Office to collect the 10 Bluey coins by purchasing the Bluey 10-coin Tube and Collectable Folder Set or Individually from the Coin in Cards with Privy Mark range.
The special-coloured Bluey $1 coin can be found as a 1-in-10 chance within the Bluey 10-coin Tube and Collectable Folder Set. These are available through participating Australia Post Office outlets, mail order and online. Bluey Coins with the Australia Post Envelope Privy Mark can only be purchased from the Coin in Card and Postal Numismatic Cover (PNC) range, with 10 Bluey Coin with Privy Mark designs to collect.
Australia Post will release all products including Bluey Postal Numismatic Covers (PNCs) and Proof Sets from 2 September 2024 at participating Australia Post Offices, mail order and online. No pre-orders will be available before 2 September.

Yes, these coins are Australian legal tender. They were minted by the Royal Australian Mint and have gone through the legislated approval process.
The coins feature the King Charles III effigy along with the one-dollar denomination on the obverse and with special designs on the coin’s reverse featuring Bluey and her family and friends.
The numbers produced of each coin will be published in the Royal Australian Mint’s 2024-25 annual report.
