Hello Collectors

Welcome to first edition of the Stamp Bulletin in 2026.

Stamp Bulletin 399 begins with celebrating Lunar New Year – Year of the Horse, available from 6 January 2026. The stamp issue, featuring elegant illustrations by Chrissy Lau, captures the spirit and vitality of this celebrated zodiac sign as we mark the beginning of an inspiring new year.

On 13 January 2026, Regional Heritage Australia, showcases the magnificent heritage-listed buildings from the 19th century.

One-in-six bird species are currently under threat in Australia. The stamp issue, Endangered Birds, released on 27 January 2026, sheds light on the bird species classified nationally as endangered or critically endangered. All illustrations are by award-winning watercolour artist Frances McMahon.

Our Creatures of the Palaeozoic stamp issue, also released on 10 February 2026, explores the creatures that lived on our continent 500 million years ago. The artist for this stamp issue, Peter Trusler, collaborated with Associate Professor Diego Garcia-Bellido, a palaeontologist at the University of Adelaide, to create these accurate illustrations.

Closing out Stamp Bulletin 399 is Eremophilas: Desert-Loving Flowers, released 24 February 2026, an ode to the flower that is becoming increasingly popular as garden plants in our warming climate.

Information on the ANDA Melbourne Money Expo held on 7-8 February 2026 can also be found in this Bulletin, with a sneak-peek at exclusive PNCs available only at the show.
