Issue date: 21 October 2020
This stamp issue marks the record-breaking 26th consecutive race win by Australian mare Winx, run on 18 August 2018. The race, previously known as the Warwick Stakes, in 2017 was renamed the Winx Stakes in honour of the champion mare. This is a new Australian record, breaking the 25 wins by Black Caviar, and is second worldwide only to the Hungarian mare Kincesm, which won all of her 54 races in the 1870s.
