Overview

The external Australian territory of Norfolk Island lies in the South Pacific Ocean. The island’s rich history and natural beauty attract tourists from all over the world who arrive either by air or by sea. The island has no natural port or harbour, so visitors arriving by sea must be ferried ashore when weather permits. This issue features two notable luxury cruise ships that visit Norfolk Island.

The stamps and minisheet, illustrated by Jamie and Leanne Tufrey, present each ship as it approaches the shores of Norfolk Island, complete with pine-topped hills in the foreground.
